Scoring methodology

How NextLatitude creates personalized recommendations

Every relocation journey is different.

That's why NextLatitude doesn't rank countries using a single "best countries" list. Instead, we personalize recommendations based on your goals, priorities, and circumstances.

Country Match Score

The Country Match Score estimates how well a destination aligns with your preferences.

Factors may include:

Different users may receive different recommendations because different people value different things.

Relocation Readiness Score

The Relocation Readiness Score estimates how prepared someone is to successfully relocate abroad.

The score combines five categories:

Financial Readiness

Income stability, savings, emergency funds, and overall financial flexibility.

Visa & Legal Readiness

Passport status, destination planning, and understanding of possible residency pathways.

Career & Lifestyle Fit

Employment flexibility, language preferences, previous international experience, and lifestyle compatibility.

Logistics & Planning

Research progress, relocation timeline, and preparation of important documents.

Commitment & Confidence

Personal readiness, family alignment, and confidence in pursuing an international move.

Each category contributes to an overall score between 0 and 100. The score is intended as a planning tool—not a guarantee of relocation success.

Country comparisons

Our goal is to highlight meaningful differences so users can make better-informed decisions.

Continuous improvement

Our scoring models will continue to evolve as we expand our research, incorporate additional data sources, and learn from user feedback.

We believe relocation planning should become increasingly personalized, transparent, and useful over time.
